Service extension is a difficult task, that is why we are always seeking out for those individuals that can extend their services to us in line with our organization objectives. We shall be grateful to work with you. Below are some of the current interns at the organization.
Elizabeth Nakalembe started volunteering with YARID in June 2015. Liz currently teaches English for Adults Levels 1&2. When she started with YARID, she supported the development of the BFS (Bridge to Formal Schooling) prototyping as a researcher.
Liz has a BA in Social Sciences from Makerere University, specializing in Gender & Social Administration. Liz is passionate about gender in development and hopes to stay involved in women's empowerment issues.
Daniel Eyudu joined YARID in June 2015 as a researcher for the Bridge to Formal Schooling (BFS) prototyping phase. Daniel now teaches English for Adults Level 1. He holds a BA in Adult & Community Education from Kyambogo University.
His career goal is to be an adult education officer at the district level. While working with YARID's Congolese community, Daniel also learned to speak Swahili and French.
Patrick Makhas joined YARID in June 2015 supporting the sports programming by organizing soccer matches.
Amir joined YARID for one month to teach our English students photography and media. Amir comes from Brighton, England.
He was a masters student at Sussex University pursuing a degree in media practice for development. Amir taught students technical skills, but also how photography can be utilized to help in the refugee community.
